Residential Project

The Design Dilemma: The current staircase to the top of our house is actually a ladder. It is unusable on a regular basis, we have dogs and it's simply too steep. We'd love to use the room upstairs as our main living space but it's currently just not possible. We live in an old weaver's cottage with a trap door to the loft! In order to resolve this issue, the bathroom needed to be moved over and a wall rebuilt as there is no landing to accommodate the space for a staircase. This would then provide the required space for practical access to the next floor.

" Oh my goodness we can actually get upstairs without clinging on for dear life! This has totally changed the way we use our house- it will allow us to have the living space we've always dreamed of."
